EXCHANGE OF THE CONNECTION BOLTS AND NUTS OF AILERON CONTROLS IN THE FUSELAGE
Applicable to the Grob Twin Astir (Incl. Trainer) serial numbers 3000-3291 and Grob G 103 Twin II (incl. Acro) serial numbers 3501 - 3729. Issue 1 of this AD came about because of possible interference between flight controls if the connection bolts in the airbrake and aileron 'distributor' were incorrectly fitted. The manufacturer issued Service Bulletin TM 315-38 which described the correct fitting of the bolts and also called for a placard (to be attached to the aileron lever) which nominated the correct bolt fitting. The manufacturer has recently issued Service Bulletin TM 315-38/1 which calls for the exchange of the existing bolts and nuts with specifically manufactured parts available from Grob.
