AILERONS AND SYSTEM RIGGING
A number of operators of the IS-28B2 gliders have reported unpleasant handling characteristics when flying in turbulent conditions such as when flying through the tug aircraft's slipstream or when thermalling. Investigation has reveled discrepancies in the rigging adjustments in the aileron control circuits. The gliders maintenance manual does not contain sufficient information to fully define correct adjustment. As a result of correspondence with the manufacturer they have carried out tests and determined the additional information to establish correct aileron control circuit adjustment.
