Applicable all serial numbers. Optional installation of :- (a) Fuel shut-off valve control; (b) Fuel tank locking device. (a) By moving the fuel shut-off valve from the GFRP inner cockpit skin to the rear of the fuselage skin near the wheel box, the length of the fuel line is shortened by 2.5 m and the danger of vapour locking is reduced. A control knob, located in the valve’s former position, actuates the shut-off valve by means of a push-pull rod. (b) By providing an additional locking device for the fuel tank, it is held more securely in place. The above optional modifications are covered by Schempp-Hirth Technical Note No. 825-26.
