MISCELLANEOUS AIRWORTHINESS INFORMATION -DG-600, DG-600/18 AND DG-600/18M

1. Glaser-Dirks Technical Note No. 370-3 describes the optional conversion of the DG-600 to DG-600/18. Because this modification changes the type designation the CTO should be contacted regarding reissue of the C of R and C of A. 2. Glaser Dirks Technical Note No. 370/4 describes the optional installation of winglets on DG-600 and DG-600/18 Gliders when operated with 17 m tip extensions. 3. Canopy securing system for improved canopy jettison similar to “Röger hook”. DG Technical Notes No. 370/7 and 866/8 inform about the optional installation of a “Röger hook” to improve canopy jettison in an emergency. This hook is mandatory for all new designs and definitely is a low cost safety feature. 1. DG-Flugzeugbau (TN No. 826/37, 866/7, 873/15) has tested new batteries. DG recommends to use only these new approved batteries for their motorgliders.
