INSPECTION OF WING ROOT FITTINGS
Applicable to the Slingsby T61a, b, c and d variants. A recent fatal accident to a T61a aircraft in the UK may have been caused by deficiencies in the wing root fitting/pin attachment area. These instructions require a 3x point inspection to be carried out of this area before next flight. Slingsby Technical Instruction 94 - Mandatory inspection of wing-root fittings refers.
