INSPECTION OF TAILPLANE ATTACHMENT FITTINGS
Applicable to the Schneider ESKa 6, Schleicher KA 6 and Ka 6CR. During an airworthiness inspection excessive movement of one of the tailplane fittings was noticed and on further research it was found that the forward face of the fitting was fractured across the bolt hole. The two fittings which support the tailplane under the tailplane main spar may be given a preliminary by the use of mirrors but for a thorough inspection plywood would need to be removed.
