REQUIREMENT FOR THE ISSUE OF AN AUSTRALIAN CERTIFICATE OF AIRWORTHINESS
Applicable to the DG-400 powered sailplane. Issue 1 of this AD required the exchange of certain Flight and Maintenance Manual pages to reflect the specific Australian operating conditions. This method of providing this information has caused problems due to further Manual amendments by Glaser-Dirks. This problem will be overcome by reverting back to the original Glaser-Dirks Flight Manual and inserting a page at the front of the manual stating all of the Australian requirements. 1. Ensure that the following Technical Notes have been complied with: TM 826/3, TM 826/6, TM 826/8, TM 826/9, 826/10, TM 826/11, TM 826/12, TM 826/13 and TM 826/15. 2. Insert the Australian Flight and Maintenance Manual Supplement (Page 0.0) in the Flight Manual directly behind the cover page. 3. Provided the chart given on page 58 of the Flight Manual plus Notes 1 to 4 are installed in the cockpit as a placard a Flight Manual need not be carried.
