Applicable to the SF 25C, SF 25E and SF 25K Falke powered sailplane. SF 25 powered sailplanes of the model and specific serial numbers are equipped with lateral and longitudinal control systems consisting of two separate sticks. Earlier models of the SF 25 aircraft fitted with the older 'fork' control sticks are not affected. AD 290 issue 1 called for the replacement of the double row self-aligned ball bearings in the control sticks with spherical slide bearings type GE8E. Issue two found the GE8E bearings also wear out and are no longer available. Scheibe have issued Service Bulletin 653-47.
