FAILURE OF RUDDER LOWER MOUNTING BEARING
On a DG-100, the rudder lower mounting self aligning bearing moved out of the bearing support and the rudder fell out. The LBA issued Airworthiness Directive D-2004-348 which is applicable to all serial numbers of the DG-100, DG-200, DG-300, DG-400, DG-600 and DG-600M; and DG-500 and DG-500M all serial numbers up to 5E23. DG-Flugzeugbau issuedTechnical Notes 301/23, 323/14, 359/21, 826/44, 348/18, 843/21, 370/9, 866/10 dated 08 July 2004 form part of this AD. Note: all technical notes have the same content. The three number prefix denotes German Type Certificate No.
