ELECTRICAL SYSTEM - EXTENSION / RETRACTION OF SPINDLE DRIVE
The original fitment Warner "LA10" spindle drive type fitted to the DG-500MB has failed in some gliders, and must be replaced by the more reliable Stross "BSA 10" unit. Technical Note 843/18 issue 2 forms part of this AD and is available from DG-Flugzeugbau. Exchange the spindle drive and modify the electrical system in accordance with the instructions given in the Technical Note / Working Instructions.
