REPLACEMENT OF THE OIL DIP STICK
All powered sailplanes fitted with Rotax 912A, 912F, 912S and 914F engines. The use of same moden oils can result in slower return of oil from the crankcase to the oil tank under certain conditions. It is possible for this to cause the oil in the tank to fll below the minimum level. To help prevent this problem, the minimum oil level in the tank must be raised. This is achieved by a new dipstick with new level marks. Rotax Service Bulletin SB-912-040 R1 & SB-914-026 R1 form part of this AD.
