INSPECTION / REPLACEMENT OF CONTROL COLUMN ON FRAME 2
During Pilatus B4-PC11 inspections, cracks have been found in the control-column support on frame 2. Failure of the support could lead to loss of control of the aircraft. Issue 2 of this AD replaces Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (POCA) Airworthiness Directive HB 2003-199 with HB 2004-491 and Service Bulletin I 005 with SB I 005 REV 2, which now calls for annual inspections. The SB forms part of this AD. These updates do not alter the Australian AD, as the requirement for annual inspection was already included, although the wording has been changed slightly for clarity.
