POSSIBLE FRACTURE OF THE LOWER GEAR WHEEL IN GEAR-BOX P/N 11AG
Two cases of failure of lower gear wheels have occurred in Stemme S10-VT powered sailplanes, the gear wheels separating from the shafts. Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) Airworthiness Directive No. 2002-389 forms part of this AD. If the aircraft is found to be in the serial number range , the owner/operator will be required to obtain Stemme Service Bulletin BO A31-10-065 Amendment Index 01 of 30 October 2002.
