CANOPY LOCKING MECHANISM
The condition and adjustment of the canopy locking mechanism has been found inadequate on some aircraft and there have been cases of canopies opening in flight because of improper locking before take-off. This AD mandates an inspection of the canopy locking mechanism on both sides and a warning placard fitted. Diamond Aircraft Service Bulletin No. MSB 36-71 forms part of this AD.
