REPLACEMENT OF WING-TO-FUSELAGE FRONT FITTING
Cracks have been found in some SZD-50-3 Puchacz aircraft in the brackets which wrap around the wing-to-fuselage front fitting. AD 537 requires an inspection to be carried out to check whether or not cracks are present in this bracket. This AD covers those aircraft in which cracks exceeding the specified length are discovered and details the required actions to replace the entire fitting with a new factory-supplied fitting. General Inspectorate of Civil Aviation (Poland) Airworthiness Directive No. SP-0094-2000-A and PZL-Bielsko (in bankruptcy) Mandatory Bulletin No. BE-049/SZD-50-3/2000 “Puchacz” form part of this AD.
