COLOUR CODING OF THE LEFT ELEVATOR DRIVE
Significant elevator deflection changes can be caused by improper connection of the non-symmetrical elevator drive to the elevator halfs on all L-13 SW, L-13 SE, L-13 SEH, L-13 SL, L-13 SDM and L-13 SDL. (All “Vivat”). The left arm of the elevator drive and its hinge on the left half of the elevator must be painted in the same distinctiv colour (preferrably red). Check the elevator deflections and compare them with the data provided in the maintenance manual before painting. The colour marking must be checked and redone if necessary in every annual inspection. This AD has to be performed prior to the next flight. Manufacturer’s Mandatory Bulletin No. SW 13-045a, SEH 13-003a, SL 13-002a forms part of this AD.
