ELECTRIC SYSTEM-INSPECTION OF STATOR AND IGNITION CABLES OF ROTAX ENGINES 912 A2
Due to an unfavourable influence of some chemical reactions, improper installation or maintenance, the insulation material of the stator cables of the alternator could be damaged which might lead to problems with the ignition. This AD is applicable all AMT-200 powered sailplanes referenced in Aeromot manditory service bulletin No. A200-24-061. Before the next flight the stator and ignition cables must be inspected according to the inspection instructions of Aeromot. The stator assy must be replaced as required in ROTAX Service Bulletin No. SB 912-026/E within the next 100 hours of operation and before 1-August 1999. Mandatory service bulletin of Aeromot No. A200-24-061 AND ROTAX Service Bulletin No. SB 912-026/E form part of this AD.
