INSPECTION OF THE FRONT RUDDER PEDAL MOUNT
Overseas experience has shown that cracking of the front rudder pedal mount on SZD-9bis Bocian 1D and 1E sailplanes is possible. At each annual inspection the front rudder pedal mount must be inspected for cracks using a 5X magnifying glass. Cracks are possible in any of the welded joints but special care must be taken when inspecting the areas indicated in Figure 1. PZL Bielsko Bulletin BA-30/94 “Bocian” refers.
