MODIFICATIONS FOR THE ISSUE OF AN AUSTRALIAN CERTIFICATE OF AIRWORTHINESS
During the Nimbus-3DT first of type inspection on Serial Number 01 the mounts for the original design of the fuel tank were deemed to be unacceptable. During production the factory modified the design such that it is now acceptable and Serial Number 01 has also been modified to an acceptable standard. Because the time when the factory modified tanks were installed is unknown each Nimbus-3DT entering the country will have to have its fuel tank mounts assessed and an acceptable design installed if necessary. Justification GAA-10 prepared by Roger Druce. Before first flight in Australia the fuel tank supports will have to be inspected and a report detailing how the tank is installed sent to the CTOA. The CTOA will then determine whether the installation must be modified and to what extent.
