POSSIBLE CRACKING OF THE TRIM WEIGHT ATTACHMENT BRACKET
Applicable to LS 3 and LS 4 variants 1. Visually inspect the trim weight holder for cracks in the welded region between the base plate and the fixture bracket. If cracking is found action 3 must be performed immediately. 2. Measure the thickness of the sheet metal of the trim weight holder. 3. Trim weight holders made from 1 mm sheet metal must be replaced by part number 4R8-19c before 31 July, 1993 as shown in drawing 4BR-48a which forms part of this AD. 4. Some LS 3 aircraft have the bracket welded directly onto the pedal support bracket. Should cracking be found in these brackets GFA must be notified before next flight.
