ELEVATOR CONTROL CIRCUIT COMPONENT FAILURE
Alexander Schleicher ASK 21 (S/Nos 21206-21473). Elevator control circuit component failure. Inspection of component for cracks/deformation and replacement as required in ASK 21 Technical Note No.22. Two cases where the parallel rocker at the automatic elevator connection have been found broken have been reported. The problem is attributed to improper rigging or possibly failure to allow freedom of movement for the elevator actuating rod during road transport in a Glider Trailer. Additional details are given in ASK 21 Technical Note No. 22 which is included in the body of this AD.
