LIFE EXTENSION INSPECTIONS
PZL-Bielsko have issued Service Bulletin BE-027/87 applicable to the SZD-30 Pirat sailplane requiring an extensive inspection at 1800 hours total time in service and further inspections at 200 hour intervals up to 2600 hours total time. For Australian operators the 1800 hour limit is waved in preference to including the requirements of BE-027/87 into each sailplanes 20 yearly survey. GFA annual inspection requirements to GFA form 2, encompass the work requested by BE-027/87, thereby removing the BE-027/87 200 hourly inspection requirements.
