CRACKING OF THE FLAP DRIVE
Issue 3 of this AD corrects an omission in Issue 2 by adding Ventus bT to affected models. Applicable to Ventus a, Ventus a/16.6, Ventus b, Ventus b/16.6 and Ventus bT within a serial number range. Variations in flap settings were noticed on several sailplanes. Investigation revealed cracking around the weld between the flap drive lever and torque tube. Luftfahft-Bundesamt (LBA) Airworthiness Directive No. 2001-258 and Schempp-Hirth Technical Note No. 349-9 form part of this AD.
