INSPECTION/ FIN SPAR AND TAILPLANE SPAR BOOMS FOR DELAMINATION
It has been found that the beechwood tailplane spar booms on a Slingsby T61 Motor Falke were delaminating, the cracks being up to 300mm long and 10mm deep. The aircraft had logged 339 hours. Four other aircraft were found in similar condition. The fin spars which are of similar construction were checked and found to be satisfactory.
