SAFETY MEASURES FOR INSPECTION COVER IN FUSELAGE
Applicable to the ASW 19 (S/Nos. 219001 to 19232) and ASW 20 (S/Nos. 20001 to 20113 except 20111). During a cross country flight with a ASW 20, the inspection hole cover, which was not taped lifted up during a pull up into a strong thermal and was subsequently pulled into the fuselage by the attached bungee. There it jammed temporarily the aileron and flap control. The inspection hole in the ASW 19 and ASW 20 being identical, such an incident seems to be possible for the ASW 19 too.
