INSPECTION OF SPAR WEB BONDING - RESTRICTIONS LIFTED ON COMPLETION OF GFA AD 130 AND AD 131
Applicable to the Diamant 16.6 and Diamant 18 sailplane S/Nos. 11 TO 80. Envelope restrictions are required by Action 1 and is MANDATORY. The envelope limitations can be lifted by completing Action 2 of this AD. GFA issued AD 107 mandated immediate envelope restrictions after unsatisfactory bonding between the spar cap and shear web was found in a Diamant. GFA AD 114 Issue 1 superceded AD 107 and mandated visual inspections of the spar cap to shear web bonding IAW Service Bulletin 06. The envelope restrictions from AD 107 were retained. GFA AD’s 130 and 131 mandated further inspection and repair IAW Service Bulletins 07 and 08. At the completion of BOTH AD 130 and AD 131, the envelope restrictions can be removed. Issue 2 of this AD clarifies that the envelope restrictions can be removed by completing both AD 130 and AD 131.
