TAILPLANE MODIFICATION
Applicable to the DG-100 sailplane (not DG-100G Elan). As a result of an incomplete assembly of the all flying tailplane, a DG-100 glider crashed during a winch launch. To prevent a repetition, a modification has been devised so that an incorrect assembly is more obvious. A plastic or aluminium spigot pin is to be glued into the main fitting of the all flying tailplane (see Flight Manual page 18a).
