MODIFICATIONS TO BE PERFORMED AT THE 5000 HOUR INSPECTION

Applicable to the Twin Astir and Twin Astir Trainer. Issue 1 of this AD required the replacement of the airbrake over centre lever at 3000 hours. These levers were replaced on Australian Gliders under GFA AD 255 so the requirement to exchange these parts has been removed from this AD. Reference Grob Service Bulletin No.TM 315-45, Repair Instruction No. 315-45/1, Repair Instruction No. TM 315-45/2 and GFA AD 284.
