FLIGHT MANUAL AMENDMENT

The front seat pilot arm and the maximum weight of Non-Lifting Parts given in the Australian version of the SZD-50-3 Puchacz Flight Manual are incorrect. The Flight Manual must be amended. If the glider has been reweighed since importation and the front pilot arm from the flight manual of -1386 mm was used the weight and balance must be recalculated using the correct pilot arm of -1339 mm and the placards corrected before next flight. The error in the maximum weight of Non Lifting Parts was conservative and so no action need be taken. If the placards are updated to reflect the correct MWNLP then that must be performed by persons rated “Weight and Balance” any type.
