PROMULGATION OF CASA AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

GFA is responsible for the maintenance of all powered sailplanes registered in Australia. Engines such as the type certified Rotax 912 (and 914) are also used in General Aviation aircraft and so the CASA distributes Rotax 912 Airworthiness Directives applicable to GA. To ensure that the airworthiness requirements for engines operated under the GFA or the CASA are aligned the GFA will use the CASA airworthiness directives. CASA Civil Aviation Orders Part 106 AD/Rotax which forms part of this AD. The following CASA ADs must be complied with: AD/Rotax/1, AD/Rotax/2, AD/Rotax/3, AD/Rotax/4, AD/Rotax/5, AD/Rotax/6 and D/Rotax/7.
