MODIFICATION OF AIRBRAKE CONTROL TO REDUCE EXCESSIVE OPERATING FORCES - LIBELLE 201 & 201B FROM SERIAL No. 95 TO 520 - OPTIONAL

The airbrake drive shaft according to drawing No. 301-49-1/2 is replaced by the shaft according to drawing No. 201-49-2, with a lever arm increased from 50 to 65 mm. With the dive brake extended, the dimension from the top surface of the wing to the top surface of the dive brake must not be less than 108 mm. This modification has been introduced as a result of a number of difficulties arising from high operating forces in manipulating Libelle airbrakes and is detailed in Glasflugel Technical Note No. 201-19. The modification is is incorporated as standard from glider serial No. 521.
